I love handcrafting so much more now
posted this review on October 3, 2013

Handcrafter's Companion is great in so many ways. One is that the supplies needed for this are readily available. You don’t need to look for exotic supplies at all. I tried another handcrafting guide before, but they were promoting a certain brand of oils, and I felt like I was being tricked into buying their oil, so I ended up returning it. Handcrafter's Companion is different. You can use any brand you like. They do have very good suggestions on where to get them, but they stress value for money. I don’t have that much budget for handcrafting, so this is best for me. I also like the spa treatments here. I used to go to the spa twice a month, but there’s no need for that now. I can have a spa treatment at home whenever I want. My hubby love the foot soaks I make for him, my mom loves my aromatherapy blends. The entire family I very supportive of my hobby now. Even my 2-year old only uses bath products I crafted. Handcrafter's Companion made me fall in love with handcrafting more.

This is my favorite product this year!
posted this review on September 5, 2013

I just love the uniqueness of the recipes and how easy they are to make. Most of the ingredients needed are simple, but when you put them together, the resulting product is great. The smell really fills our bathroom and my husband just loves it when he comes home from work. The kids also use my handmade lotion. They used to hate putting them on but I customized the bottles and put their names and favorite cartoon characters on them, and I also infused them with their favorite scents and now keeping their skin soft and supple has become a lot easier. I also save sooo much money because the stuff needed to prepare these are so cheap. Also, I get to be busy when the husband and kids are away. This is one of my favorite products this year, and it really made me fall in love with handcrafting!

Very relaxing hobby, great recipes
posted this review on August 26, 2013

Handcrafting bath products really relaxes me. I had mild anxiety after my divorce and the shrink told me to get some therapeutic activities. This is a very good idea because the essential oils work like aromatherapy for me. Also, the thought of “creating” something lovely makes me feel more productive. Handcrafter's Companion is one of my favorite resources because of its easy, yet amazing recipes. The stuff needed for the recipes here are cheaper than others, but the results are just as well or sometimes better. My friends really like the soap and creams I come up using the recipes here. I don’t know if this is just wishful thinking but the creams really seem to make my face smoother. Right now, I’m thinking about selling my own bath products. My friend is a spa manager and they carry handmade products there. I showed her some of my work, and she said that when I’m ready she can arrange for my products to be featured in their spa. I’m really excited!

The guide is clear and the ingredients are simple

I used to go to the spa to unwind at least once a week. I love their products, their special bath gels, scrubs, aromatherapy products, and a lot more. They really help me unwind. However, our family recently had to make a few adjustments to our lifestyle, since my husband is currently on medication. I have to say Handcrafter's Companion has been really helpful for me because now I can make these first-class spa products on my own. Also, the entire family can use them. My husband’s suffering from high blood pressure, and I think the aromatherapy products I make using the instructions here help him feel relaxed. The instructions here are so easy to understand and the ingredients are so simple as well.

Very therapeutic
posted this review on July 11, 2013

I needed a therapeutic activity for stress relief after I got a broken leg from a biking accident. I thought of handcrafting bath products right away. I’ve always wanted to learn how to make soaps, lotions, shower gels, and stuff like that. This book has been very helpful. The instructions are very clear, the recipes are amazing. It’s definitely the best I’ve found about handcrafting. The others I’ve read were too common. This has got a lot of lovely tricks up its sleeve. Most of the recipes are unique, and the tips on getting quality ingredients are great.

The spa product ideas are so cool!
posted this review on May 20, 2013

I love these spa product ideas! They’re easy to make, and the needed ingredients are cheap. I first tried their handcrafted soaps for my daughter’s birthday. We gave away soaps as souvenir. My husband suggested that I try to run a soap business, because he saw this book on our computer. He said it seems feasible because I have a lot of friends in the readers’ club I joined. It wasn’t supposed to be a serious business, but I gave it a shot because he was gonna give me the capital anyway. A few months later, I received an email from a local spa asking me about bulk orders! I was surprised, but I followed the tips here on pricing and gave them a quotation. Now, I’m already supplying bath and spa products to two of their branches. I’ve also received a third inquiry from another spa, but we’re still closing the deal. I’m crossing my fingers on this one because it’s bigger than the other two!

I’ve been seeing this website a lot on other websites. I visit fun sites a lot, and for some reason this is advertised on them. I couldn’t help it anymore so I finally downloaded it. I’ve been handcrafting different things before. Anything the interests me. This is my first shot at handcrafting body products, skin products, and I think it’s really enjoyable. It’s also practical because I can use the products at home. I don’t have to buy soaks, soaps, lotions, and creams anymore. My skin has also become softer and suppler because of these products. It’s probably the lack of chemicals and the tender loving care I add when making these products. My husband also loves the way our bathroom smells now. The chemically smell of the products I used before is gone. I have yet to try starting a business with these handcrafted stuff. I’m still looking for a good spot to setup shop, and I’m also thinking of starting a website.

This covers the business aspect

It’s great being able to make your own bath and body products, but it’s even better if you can make money out of the stuff that you make. I’ve been making bath and body products for 3 years now, and I didn’t really consider making a business out of it, until I found Handcrafter's Companion. This book has awesome tips and tricks on how to monetize your handmade bath products. The marketing part is like the most difficult part of monetizing your bath and body products, so it’s better if really get an expertly made system for marketing, pricing, and for saving up on your materials. I learned all that from here. It’s really different when you are already making these products for business. As for me, I don’t pressure myself. I still just enjoy it as a hobby, and I get help when I need it. Like when there are souvenir orders for weddings and birthdays, I really need help with that. It’s not difficult for me to get help because I’ve a lot of friends who are also into making bath and body products.

Everything you need to know as a handrcrafter!
posted this review on January 22, 2013

Handcrafter's Companion has a lot of awesome recipes. I’ve bought other products like this, but this is the only one that gave me unique recipes that are easy to customize and play around with, and the materials are more affordable than others too. It’s also got some bonus information on how to turn your handcrafting hobby to a profitable business. You will learn how to price, brand, and market your products. I have yet to get to this part as I’ve just started with this, but I’m seeing myself selling these products in the future. I’m really proud of what I come up with using the recipes here, and I’m sure they will sell with the right marketing approach. Oh, and another one, I almost forgot to mention is that you will get a list of suppliers included in this book. My suggestion is to go with those suppliers if you have some of them near you. They’re really the cheapest and the quality they offer is the best. I trust three of these suppliers. I haven’t tried the others but I’m pretty sure they’re just as fantastic.

So many business tips and handcrafting recipes
posted this review on January 5, 2013

This is guaranteed to be the quickest way to learn handcrafting. The recipes are easy to follow and customize. They don’t need expensive ingredients, and they’re easy to find. I just got started with handcrafting a few months ago, but now I can already come up with store quality pieces. I’ve sent some samples to friends and acquaintances to get started with my handcrafting business and the response is great! I got some constructive criticism from friends too, and I’m building up on those. When you look at handcrafting as a possible source of income the possibilities become endless. I’m now looking forward to presenting my products to an average-sized handcrafting store. It’s gonna be a great start for my business, so I’m really excited. I’m also working on the branding now. I got a lot of good tips from this website, and I think I can make good use of them. It’s just a little difficult to decide what name to use, and how the labels should look like. It’s challenging, but exciting at the same time. Got my creative juices flowing on nitro! If you’re considering this line of business I highly recommend this book. It’s got all the recipes you need to get started and it’s also got a lot of business tips you can use.

This is my new hobby and I love it!
posted this review on December 5, 2012

Making bath and body masterpieces is my new hobby. I got started with this when I saw some YouTube videos of people making them, but their instructions aren’t clear and they do not say much about the needed ingredients, so I had to buy this book. I saw a lot of other books, but this seems the most promising, and I did a bit of research and found out that a lot of handcrafters like this book, so I gave it a shot. It did help me a lot. I learned where to get cheap yet quality ingredients, what kinds of ingredients work with what, and a lot more. There are also lessons on monetizing your handcrafting hobby. I haven’t gone as far as that yet, because right now, I’m still enjoying just playing around with the recipes. I save so much since I started making my own because now I don’t have to buy expensive bath products to see effects. These bath products keep my skin in awesome shape at a fraction of the cost. They’re also perfect as gifts!

I love the manual!
posted this review on November 26, 2012

There are so many recipes here for bath and body products. I love them all! I usually do slight variations for them, and I personalize them, but the recipes are great for smoothing the skin. I’ve sensitive skin, so I use only products that I made on my own, and the products here work great for me. I haven’t gotten any allergies from them. They’re also cheap to make because the materials are simple. The designs are also fantastic. It’s cheap too. Love love this  manual!

A proud handrafter
Chrissy Matthews (from Bunnlevel, USA) posted this review on November 17, 2012

I’m new to handcrafting, but I’m doing really really well because of this book! I’m so happy because there are so many recipes included in here as well as tips. I learned how to cut down on costs, how to save up on materials, how to make my products look more expensive than they are, and a lot more. Of course, creativity still plays a big role here, but yeah, it’s an awesome book, and I wouldn’t have like handcrafting this much if not for it. I’m not ready yet to turn this passion into a business. For now I’m just enjoying giving my works away to friends and family. It’s therapeutic for me. I customize the soaps and the bath products depending on who I’m gonna give them too, and they really like my works. I’m proud of being  a handcrafter now. = )

A handcrafting book, and a business book in one
posted this review on August 13, 2012

It’s easy to make bath products, but coming up with ones that other people will want to buy is difficult. There are so many bath products out there from brands that are already established, so if you really want to get a fair share of the market, you need to learn from an expert like Jane Church. I like this book not just because it’s got great recipes, but also because it’s got the entrepreneur in mind. It’s among the few eBooks that contain real information and that are actually worth buying.

Indeed a handcrafter's companion
posted this review on July 5, 2012

This book is great! The recipes for the soaps and spa products are unique, and I think they’d sell well in the market. I’m also adding a little personal touch to them, so they become my own. I’ve given samples to some of my friends over at the book club, and they loved them! I’m now setting up my own online soap and spa product store with this as my business guide. Although it’s not entirely a business book, the business tips and tricks inside it are great. I’m not a fan of the packaging templates, though. I want to get as creative and original there as much as possible. It’s an important factor in establishing my own brand. Plus, elaborate and unique packaging is important when selling bath products for ladies.
