Learned so much about dog training
posted this review on October 4, 2014

Those people who own large dogs and not train them are spawns of the devil. My daughter got into an accident 2 years ago when a large dog of some sort jumped on her in the park. It was terrible and she had to be taken to the hospital. We got some financial help from the owners, but the trauma it left my daughter traumatized and until now, she’s still scared of dogs. I live alone in the apartment now, so I had to get my own dog. I chose a German Shepherd because they are apparently very easy to train. I got German Shepherd Handbook and it did make it easier for me to train my dog. It took me about 2 months to train him and he’s now a perfectly behaved dog I can take to the part without getting anyone in trouble. I have definitely learned a great deal about dog training from this book.

My dog and I have become closer to each other
posted this review on July 15, 2014

My new German Shepherd is probably thanking the heavens that I got a hold of the German Shepherd Handbook! Hahahaha! I learned so much from this book. My dog is pretty new, and this is my first experience taking care of a dog. At first I was really confused and I didn’t know what to do with it. But with the help of this guide, I learned a lot and now my pooch is happier than ever and we’re closer to each other!

This really taught me how to manage my dog
D. Carlos (from Negley, USA) posted this review on June 26, 2014

This guide is very informative. I can’t believe they’re selling it for such a low price. Anyway, I’m lucky to have found German Shepherd Handbook because this is my first time taking care of a dog. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, until the dog started to wreak havoc in our home. My wife was so angry but we couldn’t let the dog go because of my kids. Well, this guide helped me manage him a lot better. I’ve trained him a bit now, and he’s become better-behaved. Thank goodness!

This handbook is so cool!
Mellissa Downs (from Norco, USA) posted this review on June 3, 2014

German Shepherd Handbook is cool! It’s got all the information I needed to learn to take care of my German shepherds. I got 3 dogs, which I rescued from a neighbor who was abusing them. I had no plans of keeping a dog, but when I got them, I thought they were probably given to me to love and protect. With German Shepherd Handbook, I learned how to help them recover from the abuse. I get to give them a wonderful home, I get to feed them right. I also learned how to make it safe for my kids and my dogs to live under one roof. The dogs have given me so much joy since they came to my life, and it’s just right that I give them the best care I can give.

This is definitely worth the investment
Honey Matthews (from Cornish, USA) posted this review on May 24, 2014

The moment I saw the german shepherd at a friend’s house, I fell in love. He was sweet, well-behaved, and was the perfect watch dog. When I moved in to my new places, I needed a good watch dog because my husband would be away most of the time for work. I got my german shepherd from my friend, and at first it was ok, until he started getting bigger and having more demands. Sam’s always been a great dog, but he needed to be disciplined, and I was able to do that with the help of this guide. I also learned from here the right way to feed him. Nutrition is very important for big dogs because you have to give them a way to fuel their large bodies. I was feeding him commercial dog food then, but after reading the tips here, I now prepare his food, and I couldn’t be any happier. I even made some adjustments to my home based on the suggestions here to make it more german shepherd friendly. All in all, I’m happy with the information that I got from German Shepherd Handbook. It’s worth spending a few dollars for if it’s your first time getting this kind of dog. Surely worth the investment.

Love this book! Helped a lot
Laurie Fulton (from Elgin, USA) posted this review on April 19, 2014

I love this book! I hope other German shepherd owners will give this book a try because it’s really going to help them care for their doggies. My favorite here is the part about feeding. I don’t feed my dog commercial dog food now, and I even save a lot of money. It sure takes some time, but when you get a pet, you should be willing to sacrifice a bit of your time for that. It’s just like having a kid actually, but the more you know about what you’re doing, the better you’ll be able to come up with your own workarounds and stuff. That’s why it’s a great idea to read this before getting your own dog.

This made research so easy for me
Marlon Valence (from Kansas, USA) posted this review on April 19, 2014

Whenever I get a new dog, I research as much as I can about the breed. I usually just read pages and articles on the Internet, but with German Shepherd Handbook, I got everything I needed to learn in a single resource. I also like how well this is written. It’s a norm for Internet products to be written in a crappy way, since they’re cheap and people buy them anyway, but this one is surprisingly well-written for its price range. I sure am happy with this purchase and I gladly recommend it to others who are planning to get a German Shepherd.

This has made dog care so much easier
posted this review on October 27, 2013

Taking care of our new German Shepherd has become a lot easier with German Shepherd Handbook. This handbook has all the information we need to get him healthy, happy, and well-behaved. It’s so rewarding seeing him run around in the yard with a shiny coat and that smile on his face. We’ve learned to read him and to understand what he wants even if he can’t speak. We’ve also made the home safer for him and for us. Even if he’s a nice dog, he still doesn’t think like a human so we took all the necessary precautions. Diet is another issue. We now prepare his food. He eats only home-cooked meals, never commercial dog food because we already know all the dangers of commercially prepared dog food. German Shepherd Handbook is a must-read for all owners.

This really helped me care for our german shepherd better
posted this review on August 8, 2013

We have a new german shepherd at home. I didn’t plan on getting that new dog, but our old dog died and my husband and son were devastated. Since this dog was up for adoption, I just took it home for them. Our dog is just a few months old right now, but it’s really different from the previous dog we had, which was a beagle. I really found this dog a bit more difficult to deal with. German Shepherd Handbook is very simple, buy you will find all necessary information from here. I don’t like searching the internet for tips on different stuff. I’d rather pay some money to get everything in one book and to be sure that the information is accurate. You can never be too sure with all the weirdos posting stuff on the internet. With this, I’m assured that I’m getting information only from qualified people. Even if I wasn’t too keen on having a new dog, I feel that this one is already our responsibility now, and I want to do my best for it. So far, it seems happy with how we are treating it, and it seems like it’s getting healthier these days. This book really did help.

My dog has better disposition now
posted this review on May 18, 2013

German Shepherds are nice to be around, but they’re the scarier kind of dog because of their size and strength. If they get upset, they can easily tear you apart. My German Shepherd is usually very sweet, but I noticed a change in his behavior some time in February. He became more aggressive, and irritable. I had no idea why, so had to research on it, and the probable causes. I couldn’t get free German Shepherd specific information, so had to download this paid product. Good thing it’s worth the money cause I figured out everything that was wrong with my dog. I learned what was causing his nasty behavior, and it was a health problem caused by commercial dog food. I now have him on a special diet I also learned from this guide, and he’s behaving a lot better now. He’s not all grumpy anymore, but the kids near my home have already nicknamed him “grumps,” so I guess it’s too late. Hhahaha!

A must-read for new german shepherd owners
Jacques Epperson (from Johnsburg, USA) posted this review on January 13, 2013

If you’re owning a german shepherd for the first time, German Shepherd Handbook is must-read. These smart dogs need some special care that other dogs don’t bother about, so you really need to know how special they are before you jump into owning one. Your work will be easier, and you will be sure that your dog gets a comfortable life with you.

Very helpful guidebook
posted this review on December 13, 2012

German Shepherd Handbook taught me so much about my lovely dog. We got Chelsea from the shelter a few months ago, and at first it was a challenge because our previous dog was a poodle. They’re really different. Dogs are unlike cats, they have really different personalities for different breeds. They also have different preferences in terms of food, and the way you interact with them. My husband and I were struggling at first because Chelsea is so different from Matilda. When Matilda died, we wanted to get another poodle, but we opted for a shelter dog, and they gave us Chelsea, and we couldn’t turn her down. Good thing German Shepherd Handbook was really a major help for us. We now know Chelsea’s likes and dislikes, and we’ve given our kids special instructions on how to interact with her. She’s a large dog, so we made the kids take extra precaution when playing with her. So far, the family is very happy having her around, and she seems happy being with us too!

My dog and I are happy with this book
posted this review on August 23, 2012

I got a new german shepherd after moving in with my boyfriend. I used to have only toy dogs in my apartment, but when I started living with my boyfriend, I tried getting a bigger one cause he’s got a big backyard the dog can run around in. I was shocked to find out how different it is, and how much more complicated it is taking care of a large dog. Nutrition for one is very different, as well as grooming. This book served as my guide the entire time. I learned a lot from it in handling my new baby, and now we’re happy with each other.

Made me a dog expert in an instant!
posted this review on July 17, 2012

My sister went to Australia, and she couldn’t bring her german shepherds with her. Two large dogs were left under my care all of a sudden, and I’ve never even taken care of a puppy before I was scared of the dogs at first, but my conscience wouldn’t let me abandon them. I’m glad I found this book, and learned a lot about this kind of dog. It’s well-written and clear, and it definitely takes out the guesswork on how to deal with german shepherds. I learned what and how to feed them, how to make them comfortable, how to discipline them, and a lot more. I also made my boyfriend read it because he’s afraid of them. I think he understands them better now, and he plays with them from time to time. After reading this book, taking care of my guests became so much fun!

Interesting valuable book!

I found this book so helpful. My puppy responded exceptionally well to the chapter on biting and i have no more bruises and bites. The orderly manner in which Michael has presented the information has made it very easy to follow. The instructions are clear and have been so successful. My German Shepherd is becoming more well behave as the days pass and I follow your directions. She is a pleasure to train now as I can understand why I am doing certain things and how she is thinking.

I re-read the book constantly and follow the tips. I was really dreading Zoe's first year as I know how distractive and unruly puppies can be but with this book it has only been a pleasure having this 5 month old.
