The Complete Ballet Bible Package by Anita Leembruggen started out as a small ballet instruction manual entitled ‘The 3 Simple Rules of a Prima Ballerina’, but has now grown into the biggest self-study ballet instruction course available. In its current form it truly deserves the name Ballet Bible.

The Ballet Bible Package is divided into 4 parts. The first part is the aforementioned e-book (The 3 Simple Rules of a Prima Ballerina), which, in this new version, has more than 200 pages of information. It will give you all the methods, descriptions, and explanations that you need to improve your dancing right away. It tells you exactly what to do and how to do it, but it doesn’t stop there. It does something that’s probably even more important – it tells you what you shouldn’t do. It describes all the mistakes that the beginners are prone to making, gives you an explanation on why these mistakes occur and shows you how to avoid them (or, if you are already making them, how to correct them).

The second part of the Complete Ballet Bible Package is a software program that will teach you all the ballet terms and definitions. Each of these terms is described in great detail and since the software includes audio tracks, you will be able to hear exactly how each of these terms should be pronounced (so you’ll know how to say Jeté passé, for example).

The third and the forth part of Ballet Bible both consist of videos. The third part is actually a collection of over 60 videos on ballet technique and the forth part consists of additional 20 videos. These individual video lessons will help you improve your ballet technique even quicker.

Great and fun course!

I have two young nieces staying over for a few months while their mom is away on a business trip. We thought of a good bonding activity to share, and they suggested ballet. I was stunned at first, and I didn’t know what to do, but I wanted so much to make them enjoy their stay with me that I gave in. I looked for some courses on the Internet, but most of them don’t have complete explanations, and the last thing I wanna do is to teach the kids improper forms. This one is so much better than most because it’s not just a boring eBook. It comes with a piece of software that the kids love playing around with when we’re not practicing. There are even ballet audio tracks to complete the package. Plus, there are so many videos here that have high-quality. Most of the free ballet videos you will see online have poor quality, and that’s just irritating. With Ballet bible, you will really get high-quality and easy to follow videos in the package. The only thing I don’t like about this is that it doesn’t come with a membership website, like a community where young girls can interact. It will seem more like a real ballet school that way. The girls will be more encouraged and challenged to improve themselves when they have virtual classmates to share stories with. Other than that, the course is great!

I’m a frustrated ballerina, so when my daughter told me 2 months ago that she wants to try ballet, I gave in right away and got her this course. I would have enrolled her to a ballet school, but I had a bad experience there when I was young. Being a total beginner, the teacher always singled me out, and I felt like I was slowing everyone down. I thought my daughter should learn some of the basics first before going to ballet school. Ballet Bible has been very helpful for us. My husband said it might not be a good idea because it could be hard to follow, and our daughter might be discouraged, but when I looked at the resource, it’s actually very detailed. This will not be enough to turn my daughter into the ballerina she’s always wanted to be, but this will be enough to teach her everything she needs to know before I send her to ballet school. At least when she gets there, she’d be ahead of most of her classmates, and she will feel good about herself. Anita Leembruggen’s also been nice enough to help us find a reputable ballet teacher in our place. This has been money well-spent for us, and I’m sure other parents will find the course helpful too. Just be sure to spend a bit of time with your kid practicing and learning some of the basics.

Good alternative to ballet classes

My 10 year old has always wanted to attend ballet classes, but there’s none near our place. I also tried looking for someone who can give her private lessons, but they charge so high. I’m glad that I found this learning material. Now my baby is happy just using the software and learning from it. We also read the materials together. I wouldn’t say something like this will be enough if you want your child to be a professional ballerina. Some formal training will still be necessary. But for my child, this is enough because she’s happy just trying stuff out. I bet she won’t be into ballet that long anyway. This is a good resource for beginners, but don’t expect to learn everything from it. Ballet is a complicated art, and a real teacher will still be most helpful.

Ballet bible is a really fun resource to work with. My friends and I try it at home, and we enjoy every page of it. There are the dos and don’ts for each form complete with pictures. We’ve just picked up ballet as a new afterschool party, and we’re glad we gave this course a chance! It’s my favorite ballet course as of now.

Ballet Bible is a wonderful learning material for young girls. My 8 year old and my 10 year old are both enjoying the book. Both of them took short ballet classes before, but their father changed jobs and we moved to another city, so they had to stop. To help them practice while I’m looking for another ballet school they can attend, I got them Anita’s book. So far, I can see them having fun practicing on their own, so I’m in no rush to find a new ballet school for them. The book is very detailed, and it’s got pictures on how the form should be. I don’t know much about ballet, but I know a good learning resource when I see one. There are also videos included, so it’s easier for my kids to follow along. I think it’s just like having an instructor with them. I’ll let them learnt these on their own, then I’ll re-enroll them in a formal ballet class when they’re ready for some advanced lessons.

My daughter has just gotten started with ballet. She’s 10 now, and I think it’s pretty late. Most of her classmates started when they were just 6 or something. She found this on the Internet, and asked me to buy it for her since she wants to catch up with the other 10 year olds in class. She practices even at home using this program, and she told me it helps her a lot. She likes the videos more than she likes the eBook. The software I usually see her using too.

As for the problem with not receiving the product, I didn’t have any issues with that. I bought my daughter’s course last June, and back then, I got the entire set right away. I even sent an inquiry to Anita about installing the software, and I received a prompt response. I don’t know if they’re having problems right now or something. I suggested getting in touch with Anita if there’ a problem.

I ordered the DVD on the 16th of June 2012 and still waiting to receive it. Not only that, I have made more than several attempts to contact the author of the dvd to find out where it is an no reply, response or even an automate response. How can I review the product when I have never seen it? Not to mention my money disappearing. Disappointed to say the least. Would give 0 stars but it won't let me.

Helped me develop my technique

I have been doing ballet for a few years now and I found the Ballet Bible to be a godsend especially around exam times when you just need to refresh your self with all the terms. My mum also got me The 3 Simple Rules of a Prima Ballerina and it has helped me develop my technique much better and faster. I would recommend Ballet Bible to any one that is doing Ballet.
